Wellbeing is core to Employee Engagement. We know that without it, every other part of the employee experience is negatively affected, and that’s why it is so important to make it integral to our culture, strategy, and employee benefits offering. While we’ve always had policies and benefits in place to support our employees' wellbeing, we recognized that our Mission to make the world a better place to work is only possible by putting wellbeing at the HEART of their RG experience.

Our goal is always to lead the way when it comes to providing a world-class people experience, and that starts with wellbeing. That’s why I’m pleased to introduce our new Internal Wellbeing Strategy, which forms part of the People Team’s promise to deliver on our mission to make RG a better place to work.

Our Mission is to help our employees achieve their individual health and wellbeing goals with HEART: Healthy Everyday Actions Reached Together. 💗

Our Goals

We created HEART with five main goals in mind:

  1. Support the positive health and wellbeing of our people
  2. Create an innovative wellbeing offering that is inclusive of all our employees needs
  3. Make positive wellbeing accessible to all
  4. Provide a diverse wellbeing offering across a variety of wellbeing categories
  5. Ensure our wellbeing offering is impactful and effective

Our Framework

We understand that wellbeing is not linear and encompasses every aspect of our employees lives, which is why we provide a diverse, inclusive, and holistic benefits offering across six core pillars of wellbeing tied to our core values.  

  1. Wellbeing extends beyond just our employees; it is essential to support their families as well. Family Wellbeing is how We Think Global and care for our employees and their families through various life stages. 

  2. We want our employees to feel secure in their financial future and make choices that allow them to enjoy life.  Financial Wellbeing is how We Own It and support our employees and their bank accounts. 

  3. Health and wellbeing are so important and incredibly unique to each employee. Physical Wellbeing is how We Push the Boundaries to support our employees individual physical wellness goals. 

  4. How our employees feel is a primary force behind their overall wellness. Mental Wellbeing is how We Speak Up and support the our employees think, feel, and act. 

  5. Workplace Wellbeing ranges from the quality and safety of the physical environment to the working environment and the workplace climate. Career Wellbeing is how We Love Our Joand provide an environment to support our employees to learn, grow, and develop their professional networks to best suit their learning style. 

  6. Expressing kindness and empathy for other people and our external environment is part of the DNA of Reward Gateway. Social Wellbeing is how We Work Hard and support our employees in maintaining work/life balance and improving the wellbeing of other members of society and the natural environment. 

Our Approach

Knowing where to go when you need it is crucial. Each wellbeing benefit has been categorized across three circumstances that meet our employees where they are and embody our holistic approach to wellbeing.

Our Preventative wellbeing support was designed to help our employees protect, promote, and maintain their health and wellbeing.

Our Daily wellbeing support is all about making wellbeing a habit. These are day-to-day offerings and ways we help employees to keep wellbeing top of mind so instead of just surviving, they are thriving.

We understand that we may not always be able to prevent or avoid a health emergency. We designed our Crisis wellbeing support to ensure our employees have the support they need 247.

Measuring Success

There’s so much we could share, so to guide us, we used these three wellbeing principles to build HEART.

Connects our employees to other RGers and keeps an open culture of wellbeing through collaboration and gamification.

Engages our employees through a personal approach with accountability and effective and timely campaigns.

Celebrating our RG HEART

In honor of the official launch of HEART,  this year's Thank You Festival was dedicated to celebrating our RG HEART. 

The RG Thank You Festival aims to increase positive wellbeing, morale and engagement by providing a unique, memorable shared experience. Celebrated on the week of Employee Appreciation Day, it’s our time to send a huge thank you to every RGer around the world and show them how much they are appreciated.

Last year, our event focused on benefits as a means of appreciation. This year we expanded our event to encompass more ways we appreciate our people, specifically as it relates to helping every employee achieve their individual health and wellbeing goals with HEART: Healthy Everyday Actions Reached Together.
