At Reward Gateway, we understand what a core role wellbeing plays in employee engagement. The healthier our people, the more innovative, productive, and engaging our workplace is, and that’s why our benefits are wholly focused on supporting all aspects of employee wellbeing. HEART is the name of our health and wellbeing program. Our mission is to help every employee achieve their health and wellbeing goals with Healthy Everyday Actions Reached Together.

Supporting Your Social Wellbeing

Expressing kindness and empathy for other people and our external environment is part of the DNA of Reward Gateway. Social Wellbeing is how We Work Hard and support employees in maintaining work/life balance and improving the wellbeing of other members of society and the natural environment.

Blood Donor Days

To put it simply - donating blood saves lives!  The blood you give is a lifeline in an emergency and for people who need long-term treatments. Many people would not be alive today if donors had not generously given their blood.

Whatever your reason for donating blood, we want to support you with this worthy cause.  We do this by allowing you to make time each year to go and donate blood, we do not consider it as annual leave or something you need to book off. There is no maximum number of times you can give blood, but do consider both your health (e.g. guidelines on how often it is safe to donate) and your work schedule.

Day For Change

At Reward Gateway, our mission is to make the world a better place to work. Taking action by supporting groups and communities who are marginalized at work is a necessary and important step towards achieving this mission.

We believe in acting for equality, but we understand that taking action to support these causes can also be difficult when many peaceful protests and marches that contribute to positive change happen during our working hours. By allowing time for our people to join bigger social movements and events we can enable them to be part of the change they wish to see in the world.

This is why we give one extra day of leave to all RG employees globally. It means that on occasions where our employees have the opportunity to Speak Up on behalf of themselves for a social cause or as an Ally to others they can do so knowing they have full support from us.

Employee Resource Groups for underrepresented employees and their allies

The EPIC Networks are made up of our Accessibility Network, Intergen Network, LGBTQIA+ and Allies, Multicultural Network and the Women and Allies Network.

It’s EPIC because together they focus on Encouraging Positive Improvements Continuously through regular meets, open and honest communication and sharing insight and guidance for our Leadership team Champions. They contribute to company projects, guide on culture and support the people team in our efforts to make RG a better place to work. Participants in the networks are passionate, committed and they inspire colleagues and clients every day with their work.

Join them and be part of something EPIC!

Family Leave

At Reward Gateway we recognise that there may be times when you need to support family members through illness or injury, and at these times, it may be difficult to combine work and caring responsibilities. For this reason, we’ve created a family/compassionate leave benefit. Whether it’s a parent, a partner or a child, if they have a long-term illness, you can apply to take up to three month’s paid leave during a 12-month rolling period to support them.

Flexible Annual Leave

Each year we’ll ask you to make one important decision - How many days of paid time off do you want to take? This means you have a choice as to whether you want to keep the 35 days, buy more or sell days so you can have more money instead. Plus we’re flexible, allowing you to make any adjustments mid-year should your plans or circumstances change.

The idea is to improve the work-life balance, as employees who are enjoying a well balanced lifestyle, create an engaged, happy and positive workforce. The benefit varies slightly based on local legislation, so visit boom! To find out more on what annual leave package is available to tailor just for you!

Flexible Working

We have one golden rule regarding flexible working... You should never miss an important life or important work event. We believe that every employee should follow this rule when making decisions about how and where they are working.

Now, Flexible working has lots of meanings, depending on your job and depending on you. You have a career and personal life to juggle, which at times can be challenging. So, Flexible working accommodates the different priorities in your life. Some examples are working from home, working different hours, shifts or patterns, and working part-time.

Global Giving

GlobalGiving makes it easy and safe for you to give to local projects anywhere in the world, while providing nonprofits with the tools, training, and support they need to thrive. With our partnership with Global Giving, you are able to donate your points or cashback in the Reward Marketplace right through boom!  Allowing you to choose a charity important to you and even receive regular updates on the impact of your donation!

Parental Leave

We listened to our Parent Community to understand how we can provide a more supportive parental leave benefit. Our aim is to provide flexible support which allows parents to focus on those precious moments during the first year of having a baby.

Every family is different and we are flexible to the individual needs of our parents when you return to work. Reward Gateway parental leave provides Primary Carers with 6-months parental leave paid at full salary and local statutory requirement thereafter. Primary carer entitlement begins either prior to or on the date of birth/adoption and you can decide when you wish to return in the following 12 months.

If you return between months 6-12 a Childcare Bonus of £750 per month will be paid beginning the month of the primary caregiver’s return through month 24 following their leave date. These are pre-tax amounts and will be paid on a pro-rata basis for employees who work part-time.

Secondary Carers get four weeks of fully paid leave which can be taken flexibly. The first two weeks of leave can be taken at any time in the first 12 months after the child's birth/adoption, however must be taken as a full two weeks off. The additional 10 days can be taken as you wish afterwards.

Big thank you to the RG Parents community for helping us make our parents worlds a better place to work.

RG Foundation

RG Foundation is a grant-giving charity supporting people who are making the world a better, fairer, safer and more equal place to work.

The Foundation enables us to support and work with organisations who are closely aligned with our Mission and tackling some of the world's most challenging issues.

All grants that are issued by the Foundation are nominated by our own people, and in the short time it has existed the charity has awarded over £500,000 in grants to organisations aligned with our Mission.

Sabbaticals

After 5 years of service at Reward Gateway, you are able to take an unpaid sabbatical of up to 6 months and your job will be ready and waiting for you when you return! Use it to spend quality time with family and friends, take a trip of a lifetime or a variety of other things which are important to you.

Study Leave

Personal and professional development is so important to RG People.  It’s our pleasure to watch you learn and grow and this is why our flexible working allows you to manage time for Study Leave and Exams as you need it.

Volunteer Days

Last year we spent 1,496 hours volunteering for charitable causes close to our hearts. Donating our time and skills to organizations outside of RG is an important part of our culture. This is why each employee gets 3 paid days a year for volunteering.

You can choose your own volunteering activity or if you’d like some help or inspiration you can visit the Volunteering hub on boom! where we’ve a variety of options available to you.
