Uniting Globally for a Season of Giving, Joy, and Acts of Kindness

As we prepare to wind down and embrace the spirit of the festive season, one thing that has our team feeling extra merry is a cherished tradition that embodies the essence of who we are as a global community.

It's the season of giving back, making a difference, and nurturing the communities we call home - We Are Human Week has arrived at RG!

We Are Human is more than a favorite RG value; it's a guiding principle that teaches us the importance of kindness, empathy, and extending a helping hand, even when it's not directly tied to our roles. This approach to how we behave and what we believe shapes our culture and, in turn, propels us forward in fulfilling our mission. In this unique celebration, we unite as one global team to give back and celebrate the aspects that make us inherently human.

Our Global Plans 🌍

All RGERs have three volunteer days to use throughout the year, and through our partnership with Global Giving, employees can donate their boom!Points to humanitarian organisations across the globe.

Here are a few global organisations our EPIC Networks Recommended to help get the team started.

• Red Cross: The Red Cross' mission is to prevent and alleviate human suffering wherever it may be found. Consider donating blood or volunteering to help support their mission.
• UNICEF: Help amplify children's voices, defend their rights, and help them fulfil their potential from early childhood through adolescence.
• Global Giving: Helping fellow nonprofits access the funding, tools, training, and support they need to serve their communities. 

Here's what you can expect in our offices throughout the week! 

Team BG Plans 🇧🇬

• Workshop for Making Postcards and Christmas Tree Decorations:  We will be creating festive magic that will later be sold in a bazaar to spread smiles among children in need. 
• Blood Donation in the Office: We are giving the gift of life by hosting a blood donation drive right in the office. 
• Christmas Food Market in Support of the Red Cross: We will be Indulging in the holiday spirit and contributing to a charitable cause through our Christmas food market supporting the Red Cross. 
• Find a Furry Friend: We will be giving attention and love to the stray dogs in the local municipal shelter.
• Tree planting: We're thinking green and making our city greener.

Team USA Plans 🇺🇸

• Gifts for Our Adopted Family: Our teams in the US are joining forces for 'Making Spirits Bright' for the eighth year in a row, ensuring families receive the joy of Christmas through fully fulfilled wish lists. 
• Care packages for those in need: We're coming together to make care packages for people experiencing homelessness in our local communities. We hope to help those in need stay warm, contribute to the fight against hunger, and build healthier communities. 

Team AUS Plans 🇦🇺

• Gifts for Children via Barnardos: Instead of the traditional Secret Santa, our Aussie teams are spreading joy by purchasing gifts for children through Barnardos. 
• Family Hampers through Salvos: Contributing to the spirit of giving, our teams are purchasing festive family hampers to support struggling families during the festive season. 

Team UK Plans 🇬🇧

• Volunteering with the Felix Project: RGERs will be working in the Kitchen at the Polar warehouse, supporting their chefs to turn surplus food into delicious meals, and being part of an assembly line to pack meals for front-line community organisations, primary schools and holiday programmes in London.
• Office Donations for World Aids Day: We are raising awareness and collecting donations for the fight against HIV.
• Christmas Jumper Day by Save the Children in the UK:  We are raising funds for Save the Children by wearing a Christmas jumpers and making donations.
