At RG, we give so much to our clients and to each other, and we want to spread the RG love even further by supporting our employees with their volunteering efforts.

Whether it’s spending time rolling up their sleeves and helping out a charity, spending time providing professional services/support to a charity, or a wide range of other volunteering activities, we are behind our RGERs in making a difference.

’We Are Human’ isn't just a phrase; it's a way of life at RG. It teaches us to be kind in our interactions and look to help others even if it isn’t related to our jobs. Like all our values, this approach to how we behave and what we believe shapes our culture and ultimately helps us in our Mission.

RG Volunteers In Action 🙌

We understand that sometimes, taking the first step into volunteering can be daunting. That's why we’ve collected a few inspiring stories from other RGERs in the business that share how they choose to make a difference.

Every year I use one of my volunteer days to participate in a 24-hour-straight basketball tournament, having people sponsor me to raise money for a hospital in Cambodia that gives free medical care to the poor and needy. It’s one of my favorite days of the year since I get to serve the less fortunate by doing something I love! If you want to learn more about it or are interested in donating to my upcoming tournament on 6th October read on here. I’m grateful to RG for giving us 3 volunteer days to use, because just one wouldn’t be enough! I have used volunteer days in the past to connect prison inmates with local libraries to get new books for them to read, as well as cleaning and sorting clothing/shoe donations to be given to local children with clothing insecurity. The volunteering benefit enables me to give back to my local communities, as well as do my best to have an impact globally. - David Martin

Volunteering days are such a great part of our offering. Finding the time to support a cause is always the biggest challenge, so to have RG set days aside makes it much easier. In the past I've helped out with PE at local schools, got painting and cleaning at a community centre and most recently, volunteering at a sailing event which EdenRed had a boat in! Events like this, whilst they seem big on the surface, are run by committed volunteers and it was amazing to be part of that team. Not only does volunteering mean the world to the organisations you support, I always come away in a great mood. - Joe Benton

I love when our team pulls together a group volunteering project. Such a lovely way to build connection and recharge. Most recently we sorted food at a local food bank. We were up from our desks and gained perspective on the challenges faced by others in our community. I also like to use this benefit to make space for those "nice to do" actions that otherwise can take up a whole weekend. For example, I once took a volunteering day to gather clothing donations from our closets. I felt so much more organized, I had time to be thoughtful, and I was able to donate a car load of children's clothes! - Alex Powell

I have always loved the concept of volunteering and giving back to society in a meaningful way. In days gone by I have volunteered on a soup run for the homeless, painting sheds at an animal sanctuary and redecorating a bedroom of a child from a broken background. Most recently, I have used my RG volunteer days to do my 'second job' which is a volunteer police officer in Brighton. My most recent shift involved me checking on potential victims of drug gangs, helping find a missing person and chasing (and catching) a man who was threatening people with a knife. Not a typical Friday for most but I am very grateful that RG gives me the time to make a difference in my local community - Chris Britton
