We’re on a mission to make the world a better place to work, and a big part of that is ensuring we create an environment at Reward Gateway where everyone feels they belong and everyone is supported with their wellbeing. We encourage our employees to bring their full selves to work, and we want to enable everyone to fully express themselves while at work.

We recognise that a workplace setting can often make people feel they have to ‘manage’ their identity to fit provisions – for example, regarding HR systems, bathroom facilities or other situations where pronouns are listed but only female/male gender options are offered.

At Reward Gateway, we aim to provide an environment where every person, regardless of their gender identity, feels included, recognised and embraced.

Specialised support for transgender people is crucial to the well-being of any individual going through gender affirmation and transition. The wellbeing of our people is of the utmost importance to us, and we want to show our support to any RG employee during this time in their life.

This is why our RG Trans & Gender Affirmation Support Includes...

🏳️‍⚧️  Up to four weeks fully paid leave for recovery after gender affirmation procedures.

🏳️‍⚧️  Fully flexible working and our managers understand that a gender affirmation procedure often requires long-distance travel for appointments and that these may be given at short notice.

🏳️‍⚧️  Salary Advance to help cover prescription drugs, as well as hair transplant and removal.

🏳️‍⚧️  500 boom! Points to go towards a new wardrobe at a fashion retailer of their choice.

🏳️‍⚧️  Personal Wellbeing Coaching with Sanctus / Jan Mcleod / Nelly to support ongoing resilience and proactive mental health support.

🏳️‍⚧️  EAP services to provide transgender and non-binary employees and their loved ones with up to six individual sessions of counselling to support their mental health along the journey.

🏳️‍⚧️  Provide gender-neutral bathrooms in RG Office spaces. (Australia offices are currently not included due to being shared facilities and not RG owned.)

🏳️‍⚧️  Pronoun visibility on all communication channels across the business.

We want our people to know that we support them and understand the challenges faced by non-binary and trans people on a daily basis. We have a zero-tolerance approach towards discrimination and harassment based on gender identity, gender expression or gender history from any individual, internal or external to RG.

We recognise that any trans person seeking surgery will be questioned about whether they have support networks and that these are often required for someone who is seeking gender-confirming procedures. Our Trans and Gender Affirmation Support, LGBTQIA+ EPIC Network and the RG People Team are support networks that we hope trans employees can share with medical professionals during this part of the process.
