Since March 2015, Deb Verney has been delighting customers far and wide across Australia. She has a huge amount of love for people and is incredibly passionate about delivering exceptional customer service. With over 20 years of experience in customer service and sales, there's so much she has to share with the team around her so we asked Debs to share her experience of life at Reward Gateway and what you can expect from a career in our growing Australian Client Success Team.

So Debs, let's begin by learning a bit about you.

Hi! I’m Deb Verney, a Corporate Client Success Manager based in Perth in Australia. In my role, I am lucky enough to create and promote our fantastic Employee Engagement platforms to our clients. Through live presentations, online webinars and creating demonstration videos, I connect with employees to ensure they are maximising their interactions with their platform and benefits. Each company has a bespoke programme developed tailored to their needs and values, promotions are also customised for each individual client. I am responsible for customer relationship management through liaison with HR to coordinate and present promotions.

I love life, and as we spend so much time at work it just makes sense to love what you do. RG’s vibrant, inclusive culture makes it easy to do just that. I am passionate about delighting our customers and inspiring them to make the most of our technology to engage, recognise and reward their employees, in fact, my favourite value is 'We Delight our Customers' - I live and breathe this value every single day.

The Leadership team are open, honest and approachable. It’s inspiring to work with such a passionate, committed team that truly believes in our mission and values whilst still managing to have fun in a vibrant workplace.

What advice would you give anyone interested in applying?

Having worked in the employee engagement industry with API I was keen to join the dynamic, innovative team at RG. The values and mission resonated with me and I was excited by the technology, culture and innovation. I’m pleased to say I have not been disappointed!

What opportunities are there for career development?

During my time at RG, I have progressed from my role as Product Ambassador to Corporate Client Success Manager. Further opportunities for the future include Client Success Team Leader and Senior CSM roles or the potential to branch into Implementation positions.

I have been able to participate in various development courses including Inclusive Recruitment for Hiring Managers and Interviewers, Diversity and Inclusion, Contract Management, Insights Discovery and more. RG also has great opportunities available through the Learning Pathways programme.

What opportunities are you excited about?

Wellbeing is a hot topic and given the impact of a global pandemic rightfully so. I am excited to see how our partnership with MoveSpring evolves our Wellbeing offering and can’t wait to introduce our new initiatives to our clients.

What are your favourite benefits?

It has been such a treat to have been given an additional week's leave at the end of the year. We work very hard in the lead-up and it allows us to take time out with our loved ones, rest and then go into the new year refreshed and ready to make an impact.

I also love the concept of 'Never miss an important life or work event' that RG promotes for our flexible working. As a mum, it ensures I am able to be there for my kids when they need me.
