Every March, we celebrate the RG Thank You Festival. It's our way of recognising our employees for the incredible work they do each day and it gives us the opportunity to say "Thank You!".
All week, across the business our colleagues were inspired by an influx of Appreci8 eCards. This year we saw 1086 recognition moments sent by our employees celebrating all the reasons their co-workers make their world a better place to work.
Self-appreciation was on our list because"If you don't love yourself, how you gonna love anyone else?" and yes, we're big Ru Paul fans here. We were inspired by special guest Andreena Leeanne, who led three 60-minute virtual workshops on recognizing just how radical and special it is to appreciate your entire self as there will only ever be one you. Her session introduced the Self Care Wheel which allows you to get creative in the way which is most comfortable to you. It provides an opportunity for you to connect, better appreciate and understand yourself and your colleagues.
RG employees from Austrailia, Bulgaria, UK and USA all contributed to the sessions with their own experiences and stories and although self-care can be a personal topic, we were left feeling truly inspired by the examples shared and the openness everyone approached the session with. As we live our We Are Human value, we understand there is so much strength in vulnerability. As a gift from Andreena, every attendee was given a copy of Charred, her book which was shortlisted for the Polari First Book Prize in 2021.
We hosted our first virtual People Team Roadshow, breaking down all of our wonderful benefits into bitesize videos. Each day we also added a Benefit Booster, these included...

To add some celebration into the mix, across the globe RG employees came together to party and enjoy a boom!Social. Across 7 different socials the Thank You Festival saw food, fun, bingo, cocktails, a race and an escape room!
