Our First-Ever RGER Ideal Week: A Commitment to Community Impact

At Reward Gateway | Edenred (RGER), our commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is at the heart of who we are. This June, we’re excited to announce our first RGER Ideal Week—a week-long celebration of community engagement and volunteerism inspired by Edenred’s global Ideal Day. We’re inviting all employees to join us in making a meaningful impact, as we aim to surpass last year’s record of over 3,500 employees contributing 2,159 days of volunteering to support over 125 NGOs and charities worldwide.

Our CSR Pillars: People, Planet, and Progress

Aligned with Edenred’s CSR strategy, Ideal Week activities reflect our dedication to the pillars of People, Planet, and Progress, showcasing our commitment to making a positive impact on our communities, supporting sustainability, and advancing social progress.

We’ve planned an incredible lineup of events across all our regions, giving employees the chance to contribute in ways that resonate with them. Here are some highlights:

BG Volunteer Events 🇧🇬

• 🏃‍♂️ June 20 - Run with a Cause: 12 of our colleagues in Plovdiv will participate in Edenred Bulgaria's charity run, supporting the children's department of the hospital in Burgas. 
• ❤️‍🩹 June 24 - 28 - The Red Cross: The Red Cross in Plovdiv has launched a vital campaign to support people with low incomes by distributing hygiene products. We'll be at the distribution stations to assist with sorting and distribution.
• 🩸 June 26 - Center for Transfusion Hematology: We are organising a blood donation drive that will take place on the 2nd floor of our office. 
• 🛒 June 26 - Support for Refugees: 10 members of our Security Team will purchase and package food products for refugees, supporting the charity organisation Karitas Vitania in Plovdiv.
• 🐶 June 27 - Plovdiv Municipal Shelter: We'll participate in a training session with the adorable puppies to help prepare them for adoption and give them a better chance at finding a loving home.
• 🌳 June 28 - Community Beautification in Markovo: We will wrap up the week with a community beautification event in the village of Markovo. We'll refresh the recreation areas and green part of the city park. 

UK Volunteer Events 🇬🇧

• 🚴‍♀️ June 24-27 - The Felix Project Green Scheme: We'll be walking or cycling to pre-determined food suppliers to collect surplus food. After collecting, we'll deliver the food to a local charity. 
• 🏭 June 26 - Park Royal Depot: We'll unload deliveries, check and sort food, create mixed meal boxes, and carry out other essential warehouse tasks to support the day-to-day operations of The Felix Project.
• 🎨 June 25 - Richard House Children's Hospice: Our team will engage in various painting and decorating activities, including indoor and outdoor wall painting, mural creations, stencilling, and decorative art. 
• 🥔 June 26 - City Harvest at New Spitalfields Market: We'll spend the day sorting large crates of fresh produce, separating food by categories, and managing bread deliveries to help ensure fresh food reaches those in need.
• 🚮 June 26 - Litter Pickers Spitalfields City Farm: Volunteers will be litter picking at Spitalfields City Farm, Allen Gardens Park, and Brick Lane, helping to keep these areas clean and green.
• 🍽️ June 26 - Refuge International Network UK: We'll join the mobile street homeless outreach, handing out meal parcels to rough sleepers in various parts of London to provide much-needed support to those experiencing homelessness.
• 🌊 June 26 - Talacre Beach Clean: We'll head to Talacre Beach in North Wales for a day of litter picking to help keep this beautiful beach clean and safe for everyone.
• 🛶 June 26 - Canal & River Trust: Chester Volunteers will improve the Canal area by painting fences and canal locks, trimming overgrown shrubs and bushes, and litter picking.

US Volunteer Events 🇺🇸

• 🌱 June 18 - Mount Hope Cemetery: Our Rochester team will roll up their sleeves for a day of weeding and landscaping to keep this historic spot looking its best. 
• 🍽️ June 18 & 20 - Rosie's Place: Our Boston team will split into three shifts to volunteer at Rosie's Place, cooking and serving delicious meals to women in need.
• 🖌️June 18 - Little Brothers Friend of the Elderly: In Chicago, our team will get creative, decorating gift bags and assembling care packages for elderly adults. 
• 🚰 TBD - Wine to Water: Our remote team will assemble life-saving water filters that will be sent across the globe.

AUS Volunteer Events 🇦🇺

• 🩸June 18 - LifeBlood Australia: Volunteers from our Sydney and Melbourne offices will donate blood and plasma through LifeBlood Australia. To date, our AUS team has made 13 blood and 21 plasma donations, saving 102 lives!
• 🌃 June 20 - Vinnies CEO Sleepout: Kylie Green and business leaders nationwide will sleep outdoors and raise funds to support the many Australians experiencing homelessness and people at risk of homelessness. 
• 🍽️ June 25 - OzHarvest: Our Melbourne team will participate in Cooking for a Cause, learning more about zero-waste cooking while preparing nutritious meals from rescued food distributed to OzHarvest's charity agencies to feed people in need. 
• 🥖June 28 - Wayside Chapel: Our Sydney team will participate in Baked-In Friday,  cooking and packing essential meals for the community café to support members of our community who experience homelessness or social isolation.
