Most companies have values, but many employees struggle to remember them or even understand what they mean. Even fewer companies manage to explain how the values link to the company’s mission. If you've looked at our strategic model to improve employee engagement, you may remember that Purpose, Mission and Values is one of the foundational elements of the 10-piece Engagement Bridge™.

We have eight of our values. It's not surprising that sometimes employees find it hard to remember them all. As Head of Global Engagement and Internal Communications, it's my role to create stories that help them remember, use, and recognise our values. Our RG Rocket Ship story is a way to get them to remember not only what the values mean but how they work together to reach our mission, "Let's make the world a better place to work."
