In February 2015, Dimitar joined Reward Gateway as an Employee Support Agent. In just seven years, his career journey at RG has led him to become Global Head of Support. His team takes care of over 2000 clients globally and over 5 million users of our products. His department has been a launchpad for careers in Tech to so many others in our Reward Gateway team with many enrolling with our various learning and development opportunities including our Coding School, based in Plovdiv, and certified customer service accreditations.

While Dimitar loves Youtube, Memes and Video games, he also loves speaking to people looking for new opportunities, especially those inspired by our Mission to make the world a better place to work. We asked Dimitar to share with us more about his experience and what it's like to work here.

Dimitar, why you Love Your Job?

I love my job because it allows me to drive positive change. Since 2015, I’ve been working in RG and enjoyed seeing how the people, our team culture and collective team spirit has developed over the years. I'm always doing my best to help and bring positive energy to every situation. My job allows me to communicate with people across the world, both from Reward Gateway and the millions of people using our products and see the positive change in action.

Tell us a little bit about the Support team culture.

It's lively, positive and collaborative. There’s always something that you can learn and then share with a colleague or with the wider business. The leadership style is approachable, transparent and flexible.

Hybrid working brings massive value to our employees and our end-users. Providing support over the phone or chatting from home is challenging - mainly because real-time collaboration with more experienced colleagues is not possible. We want to ensure you're set up for success in your role and that's why we offer Work From Home as soon as they you're able to work independently. We'll be sure to support you every step of the way in your training and help you get the experience you need in your first few months.

Our team’s main objective is to help customers! Solving a challenge for a customer or helping a fellow team member doesn't go unnoticed. We use our own technology and boom!, our engagement platform, to send eCards, and monetary awards. The best customer service interactions are being featured in the Thank You customer service video which is shared with everyone in RG and it's a real heart warmer! 

What opportunities are there for personal and career development in Support?

We have a broad range of Learning and Development programmes offered here in Bulgaria. Our Career Pathways have been a great help for the Support team in understanding where they want their career to take them. There are opportunities to communicate and learn from professionals with different backgrounds and specialisations. There are many career opportunities in Retail, Finance, Product & Engineering, Client Success and many more!

So, what advice would you give anyone interested in applying for your team?

Be positive, be curious and be yourself!

Do you have a favourite benefit?

The Employee Share Plan (ESP) - We truly Own It! Every employee is awarded a certain number of shares, which makes you care for the success of the company. I'm also a big fan of the Wellbeing Allowance - where every employee is provided with an annual allowance to spend on any item they wish to support their wellbeing

Which RG Value do you feel you live the most?

We Push The Boundaries - is definitely the answer. The flexibility of processes we have in place allows us to find solutions to the most complicated situations. Pushing the boundaries of the established industry practices is something that I love doing all the time and it's what makes our environment one of learning, collaboration and constant improvements.
