From team assistant to leading her own department, Charlotte Mathias is a great example of the career opportunities available at RG. Joining us seven years ago, we asked Charlotte to share a little bit more about what it's like to be Head of Client Success for Enterprise and Flexible Benefits and what anyone interested in joining her team can expect from a career at RG

So, tell us a little bit about yourself...

Hi, I'm Charlotte. I live in London. I'm a born and bred Somerset girl. I've worked at Reward Gateway for seven years. I am Head of Client Success for Enterprise and Flexible Benefits. My fantastic team looks after our most complex clients.

What makes you Love Your Job?

I love my job here at Reward Gateway because of the opportunity that there is. I'm very proud of where I've come. I started off as an assistant to an enterprise client success manager and now I've worked my way up, and I'm Head of Department for Enterprise and Flexible Benefits.

What's the culture like?

So my team culture, we are quite a small team which is great because we rely on each other. Our team chat's always going off, everyone's asking questions to help each other out. We have a real team feel and a supportive feel. We are quite spread out across the country, but it's quite nice 'cause we still come together once a month to make sure we can tackle things together. My management style is very trust orientated. I 100% trust my team. I also really drive a solution-focused approach so making sure that people are looking for their answers themselves, but also 100% there to support them as well.

The leadership style at Reward Gateway is very open, and honest. It's actually one of our values. We have blog posts from our CEO every week. So we are very much aware of what's happening with the company. It's great 'cause we feel a part of the changes happening.

Also, the Engagement Excellence Awards are amazing. I haven't seen any other company do anything like it. We go big with them and put on a show for our clients and get to celebrate all their successes.

What's our product like to work with?

Our product's great to work with because it's quite bespoke. So, it means that clients can use it in completely different ways. It means that no day is the same for a client success manager. It means that each client has completely different objectives and uses our products in completely different ways, even though it's the same solution.

What excites you?

I'm excited about team growth and just seeing Reward Gateway develop more and more. As well as the focus of well-being to help support those teams.

Any tips for anyone who might be looking at apply?

I would say it's hard work here at Reward Gateway. Be prepared for that. But we have so much support around and it's very rewarding for that work.
