Your Role in our Mission

This role will lead and collaborate in contract negotiations while building strong collaborative relationships internally and externally. Key Responsibilities
- Providing general legal and compliance support across the US business, and on occasion assisting the Head of Legal based in London
- Drafting, reviewing, negotiating and advising on a range of global commercial contracts; including sales, renewals, partner/referral and suppliers, in addition to other corporate agreements/matters that arise
- Implementing and managing legal and compliance processes, including providing first line data privacy support to the local business
- Promoting legal, compliance, and risk management best practices
- Working with the Legal Team to identify areas to continually improve and drive efficiency into the contracting process with internal and external stakeholders
- Contribute to the activity of the Legal Team by carrying out legal research and preparing presentation materials
Skills
- Passed the US state bar exam; ideally Massachusetts
- Minimum of 2+ years’ corporate/commercial legal experience in a tech business/environment
- A technical understanding and proficiency in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements
- Experience in handling data privacy issues in the context of commercial transactions
- The ability to manage tight deadlines and multiple complex projects simultaneously
- Excellent written, oral, listening, and organizational skills with proven ability to interact effectively with varied audiences, including leadership team members
- The ideal candidate should be capable of taking on new challenges and working independently, with a “can-do” attitude, in a very fast-paced and constantly evolving business environment
- Experience in the review and improvement of contract templates, legal IT systems, practices and processes
- Providing clear legal advice on new go-to-market activities and initiatives
