How we shared love this Valentine's Day

Tis the season of love! Whether you’re someone who loves the heart-shaped decorations in shopping windows, romantic movies on TV and grand gestures, or you prefer something a bit more low-key, the 14th of February is a good time to show the people around you that you love them.

This does not mean you have to go all out and splurge on expensive gifts. The best gifts are thoughtful and picked with love. Even just by taking time out of your day to let someone know how appreciated they are, you can make their Valentine's Day unforgettable.

We are all about sharing the love at Reward Gateway! Read on to see how we shared the love this Valentine's Day.

Our Internal Design Team created these limited edition eCards so our employees could share their appreciation this Valentine's Day! We even created social cards so we could spread the love externally as well. We encouraged employees to pick their favorite, save it, and share! Our team sent over 200 messages of love with these e-valentines.

We shared the love with friends and family with these last-minute gift ideas đź’•

We know sometimes a last-minute gift idea is all employees need. So we provided a little inspiration and shared these tips that you can’t go wrong with. And what makes all of this even better? Our employees were able to share love AND save money with our deals on boom!Discounts or by using their boom!Points on Reward Marketplace.

Check out our recommendations below and save them for next year, or why not share the love all week long!

1. Fabulous flowers

Let’s start with one of the most popular Valentine’s Day gifts. There is a reason flowers are such a well-loved choice. Their different meanings, shapes and colours mean there is an option for everyone. There is a very wide price range here as well. You can go for a dried bouquet, some freshly picked flowers or one single rose. Another amazing alternative: plants!

2. Sweet escapes

Sometimes, there’s nothing you want more than to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life. A city break or a relaxing spa weekend? It doesn’t have to set you back a large amount of money and it will surely be unforgettable.

3. Tech treasures

Are you looking for something practical that you know your loved one will use every day? Tech is where you need to look! Headphones so they can listen to their favourite podcast or album, fitness accessories or even a microwave or a coffee machine? No matter what time of person you’re buying for, there is a perfect tech present out there!

4. Candy charmers

Another classic choice you can’t go wrong with: sweets! This is a budget-friendly way to make sure your present will be enjoyed. You can choose chocolates, biscuits, sweet or sour delights! Why not get some for yourself too!

5. Darling dinners

One of the best ways to spend Valentine’s Day is of course going for dinner together. It’s a gift that both you and the people you invite enjoy. There are dining options for every budget. Alternatively, have dinner come to you and just order in! Want to take it to the next level? Consider making dinner!

6. Book buddies

We think books are the most thoughtful gift you can possibly get someone. Choosing or recommending a book is such a personal thing, so if your loved ones like reading that can be the perfect way to show them how much they mean to you. Even if they’re not crazy about novels, get them a book on cooking, fashion, travel… There truly is something for everybody.

7. Time for love

Is there a better way to celebrate your friendship or relationship than by sharing quality time? Actively spending time together is the greatest gift of all. These moments with your loved ones can go from going to see the latest blockbuster together to enjoying a wine or beer tasting to getting out of your comfort zone during an exciting activity. There are no limits here!

8. Love is (self)care

Taking care of each other and ourselves is perhaps the most important way to show love of all. Of course, this means something different for everyone. (Self)care can be a long bath with relaxing products, the latest must-haves in the beauty department, a homemade dinner, long walks, evenings spent reading, dancing around the living room or meditation.

We hope these ideas have inspired you to share the love this Valentine's Day! If you are interested in learning more about our internal celebrations and why #WeLoveOurJob, visit rg.co/careers.  đź’—
