10 Ways RG is Celebrating LGBTQIA+ Pride Month 2022

At Reward Gateway, our mission is to make the world a better place to work. And that means we celebrate Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and strive to create a safe and fair working environment for all. 

While employers like RG need to provide meaningful and equitable support to their LGBTQIA+ employees all year round, Pride Month is an excellent opportunity for us to champion our LGBTQIA+ family, friends, and colleagues, demonstrate our allyship in full force, and shine a light on this community's achievements, as well as the challenges its members continue to face in our world.

For Pride Month 2022, our LGBTQIA+ & Allies network has planned a great mix of educational and entertaining activities to help RG employees celebrate Pride in the workplace. Here are 10 ways we are celebrating Pride this year:

1. The 2022 RG Rainbow Walk Challenge 

The RG Rainbow Walk has become an annual tradition at Reward Gateway, and we couldn’t be more excited about its evolution. We’ll be doing a MoveSpring Challenge to help us celebrate Pride – stepping together in a group target fundraiser for four charities across our respective geos.

2. Our RG Proud Pets Competition

We're holding a pet-focused Pride competition (you know, all the core ingredients for the most wholesome content). Over the course of the month, we're looking for all of our lovely RGers to send us pictures of their animal companion(s) repping something Pride! 📸

3. Pride Bandanas for Pets

One of our Network Leads has been sewing up a storm and making some Pride bandanas that can slip onto the collars of our four-legged friends. These will be available to buy in our London office and can be shipped to our other locales too! All proceeds will be donated to an LGBTQIA+ charity. A puuurfect match for our Proud Pets Competition!

4. A New RG Pride eCard Collection 

We’re looking to spread a little love during Pride Month. Treating each other with respect, compassion, and an open mind goes a long way, so we’ve decided to celebrate Pride Month by showing our LGBTQIA+ colleagues and our allies that we appreciate who they are – and how they make Reward Gateway a better place to work through our brand new 2022 Pride eCards. 🌈

5. "What Pride Month Means to Me" Campaign

We asked our EP!C Network leaders and allies ‘What Pride Month Means to Them’ and will be showcasing the results and displays on our boom!TV digital screens in each of our offices.

6. Weekly Posts on our EP!C Blog 

Our EP!C Newsfeed is our central place for communicating any and everything RG is doing to Encourage Positive Improvements Continuously. We’ll be sharing learnings, resources, and tools for allyship with all employees to encourage two-way conversations and engagement.

7. The Return of LGBTQIA+ Trivia 

Back by popular demand, we will be having some fun LGBTQIA+ Trivia across all our geos throughout the month of June. A way for employees to learn and compete for some fun prizes. 🏆

8. An EP!C Q&A Panel

We’ll be recording a panel discussion featuring three LGBTQIA+ women of RG, where we discuss the Intersectionality of being a woman and also being a member of the LGBTQIA+ community – and how that impacts one's identity, life and growing up, and interactions in the world of work.

9. RuPaul’s Drag Race Lip Sync Performances

We’ll be sharing fan-favorite lip sync performances from queens across the RuPaul's Drag Race US, UK, and Australia franchises. Publishing and promoting educational resources is imperative during Pride Month, but of course we'd like to provide plenty of fun content sheerly for the purposes of entertainment. We can't wait to show our people the fabulous world of drag! 

10. Keeping An Open Dialogue 

We are using every medium of communication to encourage an open dialogue and participation in this month’s events. Our primary method of communication will be through boom!, our internal engagement platform. We’ll then be keeping the #rg_lgbtqia_and_allies and #diversity Slack channels updated with a variety of content to elevate communications and boost engagement. Our digital screens in our offices, boom!TV, will be used to amplify our messages and we’ll take to social to share with the world.
