We are thrilled to share the highlights and incredible energy from our very first EP!C Roadshow! 🎉 This event was a unique opportunity to bring our RGER EPIC journey to life, celebrate the achievements of our networks, and reinvigorate our collective passion for DEI&B (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging). We can’t thank our EP!C networks for putting on a fantastic show. ✨
Our DEI&B journey began back in 2016, sparked by employees Speaking Up and asking how we could create a more inclusive workplace and lead by example in the industry. This conversation evolved into an ongoing dialogue and led to the official launch of EPIC in 2020—Encouraging Positive Improvements Continuously. The message? Our work is never done! We’re always striving to do more to ensure every employee feels included, valued, and heard. 🗣️
We launched our EP!C Networks that same year, and each has been instrumental in shaping and driving our DEI&B strategy. Throughout the roadshow, our networks shared their unique journeys, the impact of their work, and what’s next as they continue creating an environment of connection and belonging. 💬
The Accessibility Network has been dedicated to ensuring that our physical and digital workspaces are inclusive and accessible for everyone. They’ve worked tirelessly to make sure our new office environments accommodate everyone’s needs and have shared powerful stories to bring visibility to important issues. 🧠💡 They’re excited to keep this momentum going by raising awareness during Disability History Month and partnering with new organizations to broaden their impact. 📅
Our Multicultural Network has been a vibrant force in celebrating and embracing the diverse cultural backgrounds of our colleagues. 🌍 Through stories about Black History, Baba Marta’s Day, and Ramadan celebrations, they’ve created a platform where everyone can learn and appreciate the richness of our global community. 📅 Looking ahead, they’re preparing to celebrate Black History Month in the UK and to host a festive end-of-year event, and continue to share stories that highlight our diverse identities and experiences. ✨
The LGBTQIA+ and Allies Network is all about creating safe spaces and advocating for equality. 🏳️🌈 They’ve made a huge impact with events like our Pride Month Celebrations, and by hosting engaging trivia and wellbeing challenges. 🌈❤️ The team is gearing up for an exciting Trans Awareness Week in November, featuring a session by the inspiring Katie Neeves. With even more activities and discussions on the horizon, they hope to expand membership and continue building a supportive community.
The Women’s and Allies Network is driven by a mission to empower women, support allies, and create meaningful change in the workplace. 💪 From launching the Dignity and Respect training program to hosting thought-provoking events like “Accelerating Progress in Tech,” they’ve been instrumental in driving important conversations about women’s health and career advancement. 🔥 Next up, they’re focusing on expanding mentorship programs and building partnerships, starting with events for World Menopause Day and Mental Health Awareness Month. 🧘♀️
Our Social Mobility Network is breaking down barriers and opening doors for individuals from all backgrounds to reach their full potential. 🌱 By partnering with Circl, they’ve created mentorship opportunities connecting RGER employees with underrepresented youth, providing valuable guidance and support. 🤝 They’re excited to launch a kick-off event and other networking initiatives to continue promoting equity and inclusivity within our organization and beyond.
The HEART Network is at the center of our wellbeing initiatives, making wellbeing the heart of everything we do. ❤️ They’ve done amazing work promoting resources like Unmind and nudge, and hosting step challenges to keep everyone active and connected. This October, they’re organizing a full Wellbeing Week filled with activities to support all aspects of employee wellbeing, from mental health discussions to fitness challenges, ensuring everyone feels supported. 🧘♀️
Our CSR Community (Corporate Social Responsibility) has made waves with their commitment to supporting our people, planet, and progress. 🌱 They’ve led initiatives like Ideal Day, where employees across the globe contributed to their local communities, and launched Edenraid to raise funds for Doctors Without Borders. 💚 With more sustainability-focused activities planned and a strong push to promote community engagement, they’re determined to keep making a positive impact on society and encourage everyone to get involved.
As we continue to refine and elevate our EPIC strategy, our focus remains on growing our networks, strengthening our partnerships, and amplifying our impact. We want to hear from more voices, foster more discussions, and build more connections across the globe. 🌏
As our CEO, Nick Burns, said during the event:
"It matters. What you do here, whether big or small, has a ripple effect on our organization, society, and future generations."
We look forward to keeping our momentum going, sharing our stories, and continuing to make a difference. Here’s to a future where every voice is heard, every experience is valued, and every employee feels they belong. 🤗
